About Elemental Enzymes
Elemental Enzymes is a US based company harnessing naturally occurring enzymes, peptides and biochemistries, to solve complex problems impacting agriculture.
All Elemental Enzymes product concepts are tested in replicated, multisite in-field trials over several years. Targeting essential soil and plant health, adding bio-benefits that are easily implemented within existing farming systems.
Tanuki has partnered with Elemental Enzymes to distribute its Lumen and Magno products to the Australian market.
What are soil applied enzymes?
Soil enzymes are naturally occurring biological catalysts that accelerate the decomposition of soil organic matter and the cycling of essential nutrients.
They break down complex organic compounds into simple organic molecules and inorganic ions that are then available as nutrients for plants and soil micro-organisms.

What do they do?
Soil enzymes are biocatalysts produced by plant root secretion, residue decomposition, microbial metabolism and animal activities. They participate in soil organic matter decomposition, nutrient cycling, and energy metabolism.
The enhancement of soil enzyme activity can improve the effectiveness of soil nutrients, such as C, N, P and K, by accelerating the degradation and conversion rates of organic and inorganic substances. Enzymes break down complex organic compounds into simple molecules that are available to plants and soil micro-organisms.
The addition of soil enzymes to the soil rapidly accelerates natural processes that activate the rhizosphere. They provide plant-available nutrients and simple molecules that activate the proliferation of endemic micro-organisms which continue the process. Soil applied enzymes accelerate and boost natural soil processes.
Soil enzymes act as biological catalysts, speeding up the chemical reactions that transform unavailable complex organic compounds into simpler molecules that plants and soil micro-organisms can utilise. Individual enzymes react in a defined process with a specific substrate. They are active at low applied rates.
Soil applied enzymes provide nutrients and stimulate dormant soil microorganisms in the rhizosphere, priming microbial activity that continues to supply enzymes and provide soil organic matter decomposition and nutrient cycling.
Unlike living microbial products that have very specific soil requirements for colonisation and potentially high death rates after soil application. Elemental Enzymes are nonliving, offering immediate and consistent performance across all soil types.
Why should you use Elemental Enzymes?
Soil applied Enzymes improve soil conditions by enhancing the interaction between soil, microorganisms and plants creating a favourable environment for root development and microbial activity. The combined effects of improved nutrient uptake and root development contribute to increased growth and potentially higher yields.
Enzymes are suitable for various crops including:
Broadacre crops
Cotton
Sugarcane
Horticulture
Pasture & forage crops
